nutella brownies
time for one more post before the end of the weekend.
and to end on a high. i made nutella brownies to cheer everyone up at at work in the morning!!
i'll upload the instavid when i'm on my computer.
but for now appreciate the deliciousosity of these beauties and then go make them yourself.
400g of nutella (splash out, go on)
2 eggs (make them free range and you'll feel so much happier)
60g of self raising flour
1. mix these things together (until smooooth)
2. put the mixture into cupcake cases or a square/rectangular/circular cake tin - whatever you fancy
3. chuck it in the oven at like 200 for 12-14 mins.
it literally couldn't be any easier. or messier.
hope you all had a great weekend.
take it easy this week and enjoy the little things.

i wish
i could take this feeling
right now,
and bottle it up.
then
i would pour it
into my tea
in the mornings.
so i could feel happy everyday.
but maybe
without the sadness yesterday,
today
wouldn’t have felt like this

i stopped biting my nails.

so i bought so nail varnish to celebrate.
it Barry M's new range of Gelly varnishes, and the color is grape fruit.
its so pretty
and shiny.
and it stays on for a super long time.

and comes in a ton of really pretty colors which intend to buy lots of when i get my paycheck. blueberry and lilac are on top of my list.
deffo couldn't think of a nail varnish that i love more.
so if you are looking for a new brand/color/texture this summer then go buy this.
you won't regret it.

the pursuit of happiness
def thinking of heading back to university at some point.
i'd love to go back and add to my history degree, and specializing in american history would be perfect for me. but i wonder if it's a waste of time.
like my undergrad degree got my a minimum wage job in london just under a year after graduation.
would a postgrad degree give me an extra edge?
decisions. waaah!
hope your having a good one.
message of the day: a simple act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.

i always said that after uni, that was it. no more education.
but i kinda miss it.
i like learning.
so im thinking of a postgrad degree in american studies at kings college, london.
that would definitely taking me closer to the dream of working in d.c
and it would be like two years.
i'd be 24. eek!

the beginning.
i'm twenty two.
some days i feel so young, as though i will live forever.
other days i have to gasp for air thinking about how the days are running out.
i want to make the most of every one.
its something everyone says they want
but something not many people actually do.
i just started a new job in london.
i'm a receptionist, which isn't so bad.
but waking at the same time every morning,
walking the same pavement,
catching the same trains,
minding the same gap
putting on the same smile
it's starting to wear me down.
i can't avoid working. i get that. and i don't mind that.
but i don't think it has to be this monotonous.
i want to find something that makes me want to get out of bed in the morning.
people keep telling me that i never will.
but i don't get the point of living life if you aren't having a good time.
this will be my journey
i really want to start making a conscience effort to do something different or new at least once a week
i want to make the most of those two glorious days that separate friday and monday.
this is so easy to type as i lie in bed at 4 in the morning, but not actually that easy to do when the sun rises in a few hours.
thats where this blog comes in.
i'm going to record it all.
in writings. in pictures. in videos. in doodles.
some days will be full of sunshine
and others not so much.
but i'm trying not to let the unhappy in so much.
this is my space.
feel free to leave your mark.
